Member Benefits

MATSOL is a professional association of educators of English language learners in Massachusetts. Our members include educators in PK-12 schools, adult basic education and workplace programs, and institutions of higher learning. MATSOL is an affiliate of TESOL International Association.

Membership Types: 

  • Professional: For current professionals
  • Retired: For retired educators
  • Student: For teacher candidates matriculated in an undergraduate or graduate program (free)

Professional Membership

Professional: $50
Retired: $25

  • Memberships expire one year from join/renew date.
  • Membership are non-refundable and non-transferable. See MATSOL payment policies.
  • Membership dues price is per person. MATSOL does not offer group/department membership dues.

*Note: To submit an individual application or renewal on behalf of someone else, please renew by mail or contact MATSOL about doing a group renewal.  Each member must use their own username and password to log in to our system.

Free Student Membership

Are you interested in advocacy?  Passionate about multilingual learners?  Are you a teacher candidate?

MATSOL offers FREE Membership to matriculated undergraduate and graduate teacher candidates in Massachusetts who are interested in working with multilingual and immigrant students, families, and communities!

  • Meet experienced colleagues who can act as mentors.
  • Share your experiences with other early educators.
  • Access free and discounted resources, events, and professional development courses.
  • Learn about local job opportunities.
  • Participate in advocacy efforts to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in the education of bilingual/multilingual students learning English.

Join an active community of pre- and in-service teachers, teacher leaders, and school administrators from PK-16 institutions committed to providing equitable learning experiences for students learning English.
