Teacher Education SIG

The Teacher Education Special Interest Group (SIG) is a working group designed to connect teacher educators and teacher educator groups to improve teacher preparation and thus improve educational opportunities for English Learners (ELs). The group is also interested in moving forward advocacy issues from a teacher education perspective. The group meets several times during the year face-to-face and using online meetings, and communicates via a MATSOL E-list.

The group is open to current MATSOL Members at no charge.

  • Non-Members: Join MATSOL and choose "Teacher Educators" as a special interest group.
  • Members: Update your member profile and choose "Teacher Educators" as a special interest group.

The Teacher Educator E-List is open to current MATSOL members. Members will be automatically subscribed to the E-list when they choose the Teacher Educator SIG in registration. If you'd like to join this E-list manually, please read instructions for subscribing to an E-List.

The Teacher Educator SIG will meet via ZOOM Meetings on the third Thursdays of the month. They will alternate between mornings and late afternoons.
