The Boston Latino International Film Festival showcases films that deal with issues of importance and interest to the Latino community in the U.S., Latin America and Spain. Accepting Applications - Interpreter Certificate Program
Interpreter training program geared towards equipping low-income bilingual and immigrant women. The 
Language Access Fellowship program provides Medical Interpreter Certificate training, job placement, and ongoing career development to low-income bilingual women. With an Ivy League admissions rate and over 100 hours of training, our high support/high expectations model prepares exceptional interpreters. The program is free-of-charge; include common-sense supports such as on-site childcare, transportation assistance and mentoring; and leads directly to well-paying jobs. The El Mundo Boston Latino 30 under 30 presented by Henessy VSOP Privilege will honor young individuals making an impact on the Massachusetts Latino community in a variety of fields including, but not limited to, Business, Sports, Community Service, and Fine Arts. The list will serve to highlight the growing and invaluable impact of the Latino community in Boston and the State. To be considered, nominees must live or have previously lived in the Boston area for an extended period of time.  This includes individuals who were born, raised, educated and/or worked in the region. Citizenship Clinics
MIRA Coalition offers personalize guidance through the naturalization form, step by step, including a waiver for the federal fees if the applicant qualifies. When you attend a clinic, you will join 20-40 other individuals who are also applying for citizenship. Our Citizenship Team works together with a group of trained volunteers to go through the N-400 Application for Naturalization with you one-on-one. At a clinic you will go through 4 stations: 1) Check-in & Registration 2) Screening for Eligibility 3) Completing the Application 4) Quality Control. The whole process takes between 2 and 3 hours. We will keep a copy of your documents in our office, and receive United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) notices about your citizenship appointments. Mental Health Needs of Elementary and Middle School Students
You are invited to take part in a research project about teachers’ opinions of and experiences with the mental health needs of elementary and middle school students. Researchers estimate that 75% of children with mental health difficulties fail to receive needed services, and schools can be extremely instrumental in helping to connect these children to appropriate treatment.
