MATSOL 2018 Conference

May 29—June 1, 2018 | Framingham Hotel & Conference Center | Framingham MA.

The MATSOL 2018 Conference brings together educators from across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts working with English language learners at all ages and levels, and in all program types, including ESL teachers and other educators of ELs in PK-12 public schools, pre-service and in-service teacher educators, as well as ESL faculty in community college, university IEPs, private language schools, and adult education programs. Some presentations may address a particular audience, while others cover broader topics of interests to all audiences.

MATSOL encourages engaging, interactive presentations that make the theory to practice connection. Successful proposals include practical classroom activities informed by current research and pedagogy, demonstrations of successful instructional practices, examinations of current issues in education, and research that informs educators in the Massachusetts context. Presentations should engage the audience through hands-on or interactive activities when possible.

MATSOL is a professional association for educators of English language learners in Massachusetts. Our members include ESL/ELL/ELD educators in PK-12 schools, adult ESL/ABE and workplace programs, private language schools, higher education ESL programs and teacher preparation programs. MATSOL is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and an affiliate of TESOL International Association. MATSOL’s mission is to promote excellence and equity in the education of English language learners.
