History After many calls from our membership to re-institute this type of a forum, a meeting was held in June 2007, which lead to the launch of the group now known as “MELLC” – the Massachusetts English Language Leadership Council. MELLC meets several times during the school year in a series of all-day meetings to tackle issues related to SEI, ESL , Dual-Language and Bilingual educational programs. The meetings include resource sharing, development of supportive relationships, visits from special guests, tackling curriculum and professional development needs, advocacy and creation of position statements designed to best inform our programs. Although MATSOL has arranged the venue and sometimes Board members help plan the agenda, the direction and content of these meetings is determined by the meeting members. |
